Moon, Sun, Stars 🌕🌞⭐

Infodump #2: The Moon, The Sun, and The Stars

The moon, sun, and stars are 3 deities that created and watch over the world, Leonidas. They take all sorts of forms and are not bound to one particular body, gender, or identity. Star is usually much smaller than Sun and Moon, choosing to appear that way and also as a representation of how far away many stars are. Sun is huge, radiating warmth and power, not as emotionally close to the other two but still very loving. Moon is very fond of star, as they are of them as well. They love playing together and picking out their favorite humans, watching their lives unfold and helping them out with their problems. Sun is more focused on being the sun.

Many people still revere them (still as in they're less worshipped/recognized as they were in the beginning of time) in the present day, personally identifying with the one that resonates with them the most.

Here's a little visual for you all, please note - usually Star is much smaller, also, Moon's arm is black because he is eclipsing the sun with that hand.

Here's some more specified info if you want to think about which one you would be partial to:

Moon: solitary, quiet, wise, good listener, intuitive

Star: Vivacous, energetic, creative, artistic, moody, scatter-brained

Sun: Action-oriented, kind, loving, overbearing, big picture

Eye Colors

Infodump #1 - Eye Colors in Universe and their general meaning (not comprehensive)

There are several options for eye colors in the world of Leonidas. Heterochromia is still present, but now it's as a result of environmental and developmental factors - i.e. where you grow up, who raises you, what color is advantageous for your environment. Often times if your parents had brown eyes, you might have green. Green would be more calculated and questioning, where brown is trusting and values stability. A green-eyed child would be able to bring more variety to the home, figuring out things that don't seem quite right and challenging the way things are done. You can compare it to gardening, if you plant corn in one place year after year without ever switching it up then the soil will start to lose nutrients. By providing diversity you make it so that there are more nutrients for all the plants, by providing diversity to human beings you give them a greater ability to grow and thrive.

All that being said, the color interpretations are largely based off of color psychology, here's a little list for you (subject to change and adjustment)

Pink: charm, grace, lighthearted, tranquil, emotional, intensity, youth

Red: passion, excitement, aggression, courage, power, strength

Orange: warm, energetic, playfulness, immaturity, innovative, frustrated

Yellow: optimistic, joyful, creative, fearful, cautious, jealous, intellect

Green: curious, outside-the-box, bored, quick-thinker, trailblazer, harmonious

Blue: trusting, loyal, calm, cold, aloof, stuck-up, loner, adaptable

Purple: wise, imaginative, nonmaterial, unpredictable, moody, intuitive

Brown: trusting, stable, hard-working, kind, honest, blunt, reliable

Black: sophisticated, power, secure, oppressive, cold-hearted, mysterious

White: openness, straightforward, distant, precision, fairness, truthful

You could have any combination of these, though that's not super common. There are different likelihoods of having these colors, percentages are below:

Pink: 9%

Red:12%

Orange: 7%

Yellow: 8%

Green: 16%

Blue: 18%

Purple: 6%

Brown:20%

Black: 2%

White: 2%

Want to play a fun game and find out what color eyes you would have? Well, it's simple! Either choose what color your parents and/or significant people in your life had growing up and choose what color description contrasts with that, or... Leave it up to chance! Look up 'random number generator 1 through 100' and whatever your number is will correlate to my handy-dandy list below:

pink is 1-9, red is 10-21, orange is 22-28, yellow is 29-36, green is 37-52, blue is 53-70, purple is 71-76, brown is 77-96, black is 97-98, white is 99-100.

Why is it so complicated you ask? My answer?

Greetings!

Hello and welcome to a blog! Are we in 2012? Nope! I just don't want to use tumblr

Anyway, here I will (maybe) post thoughts and info on my book, Golden Dawn. It's a fantasy drama with lots of gay people and traumatized little guys. I myself am genderfluid and omnisexual and wanted to explore representing a variety of sexual orientations in an environment where it's totally normalized.

I'm also doing my best to represent different cultures and ethnicities in my book, so if you have any suggestions on mistakes you see often in media then please feel free to comment below!

Okay, so Golden Dawn is a fantasy drama, that doesn't tell you anything now does it? Well, I must admit, I am very bad at summing it up, but I'll do my best.

This story stars Deitra, the captain of the Royal Guard of Apollon. She's been leading for 7 years when suddenly she abandons her post and takes her two friends with her. Their worlds' are turned upside down, encountering enchanters, a dragon, cultists, mind-shattering realizations, and pirates?!?! Will Deitra be able to take responsibility for her own life? Will her friends ever look at her the same? Can she find herself in time to save the rest of the world?

New Prologue - Beginning

As promised, below is the new prologue for Golden Dawn.  Beginning At the start of Leonidas, two great queens ruled over the land, bestowed...
